Carpet Cleaning NW2 Service Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of carpet and related cleaning services by Carpet Cleaning NW2 to clients within our service area. By booking a service, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means any individual, business, landlord, tenant, managing agent or other party who requests or receives services from Carpet Cleaning NW2.

Company means Carpet Cleaning NW2, the provider of the cleaning services.

Services means carpet cleaning and any additional cleaning or related services agreed between the Company and the Client.

Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

Booking means a confirmed request by the Client for the Company to provide Services at an agreed date, time and location.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides professional carpet cleaning and associated cleaning services within the NW2 area and surrounding locations, subject to availability. The precise scope of work for each Booking will be as agreed with the Client at the time of confirmation.

Services may include, but are not limited to, hot water extraction cleaning, stain treatment, deodorising, and cleaning of rugs, upholstery and soft furnishings where expressly agreed. The Company does not guarantee the removal of all stains or odours, particularly where they are permanent or where fibres or backing materials have been damaged.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings may be made by the Client via the Companys designated booking methods as advertised from time to time.

3.2 When making a Booking, the Client must provide accurate details, including the Premises address, type and size of areas to be cleaned, parking arrangements, access instructions, and any known issues such as damage, heavy soiling or previous treatments.

3.3 The Company will provide an indicative quotation based on the information supplied by the Client. This quotation may be subject to change if the information given is incomplete, inaccurate or if the condition of the carpets or Premises differs significantly from that described.

3.4 A Booking is deemed confirmed only when the Company has accepted the request and, where required, received any applicable deposit or prepayment. The Company reserves the right to refuse any Booking at its discretion.

3.5 The Client is responsible for ensuring that a responsible adult is present at the Premises at the agreed time, or that safe access arrangements have been made and communicated in advance.

4. Access and Client Responsibilities

4.1 The Client must ensure that the Premises are accessible at the agreed time and that all necessary keys, entry codes or permits are available. Any waiting time or abortive visits caused by access difficulties may be subject to additional charges.

4.2 The Client should remove small furniture, fragile items, valuables and personal belongings from the areas to be cleaned prior to the arrival of the Companys operatives. The Company may move light furniture where reasonably practicable, but this is at the Companys discretion.

4.3 The Client must inform the Company in advance of any pre-existing damage, loose fittings, defects, or issues such as loose carpet, unstable furniture or unusual materials that may affect the provision of the Services.

4.4 Electricity and water must be available at the Premises for the duration of the Services unless otherwise agreed. If such utilities are not available, the Company may cancel or reschedule the Booking and charge a cancellation or call-out fee.

5. Pricing and Quotations

5.1 All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are exclusive or inclusive of any applicable taxes as specified at the time of quotation.

5.2 Quotations are based on the information provided by the Client and on typical room sizes or item measurements. If upon arrival the actual size, extent or condition of the work differs materially, the Company reserves the right to revise the price accordingly before commencing work.

5.3 Minimum charges may apply per visit, per service type, or per area, as notified to the Client at the time of booking.

5.4 Any additional services requested on the day that were not previously quoted for, such as extra rooms, rugs, or heavy stain treatment, will be charged at the Companys prevailing rates and must be agreed with the Client before such work is carried out.

6. Payments

6.1 Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of Booking. The Company may require full or partial payment in advance, or immediate payment on completion, depending on the nature of the Services and the type of Client.

6.2 Accepted payment methods will be communicated by the Company and may include card payment, bank transfer or other authorised methods. Cash payments may be accepted at the Companys discretion and must be made directly to the Companys representative, not to third parties.

6.3 Where payment is due on completion, the Client must ensure that payment is made before the operative leaves the Premises, unless written credit terms have been agreed in advance.

6.4 For Clients with agreed credit accounts, invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. The Company reserves the right to charge interest and reasonable administration costs on overdue amounts in accordance with applicable law.

6.5 The Company may refuse to commence or continue any Services if payment terms are not met or if previous invoices remain unpaid.

7. Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Show

7.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a Booking by providing adequate notice to the Company. The minimum notice period and any related charges will be specified at the time of Booking.

7.2 Where the Client cancels a Booking with less than the required notice, the Company may charge a cancellation fee, which may be up to the full value of the scheduled Services if the operative cannot be reallocated to other work.

7.3 If the Client is not present and has not ensured access at the scheduled time, or if the Premises are not ready for cleaning, the visit may be treated as a no-show. In such cases, the Company may charge a call-out or cancellation fee.

7.4 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a Booking due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to adverse weather, equipment failure, staff illness, traffic disruption or safety concerns at the Premises. In such cases, the Company will offer the Client an alternative appointment. The Company will not be liable for any indirect loss arising from such cancellation or rescheduling.

8. Service Quality and Complaints

8.1 The Company aims to provide Services with reasonable skill and care in accordance with industry standards for carpet cleaning.

8.2 If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, the Client must notify the Company as soon as possible, and in any event within a specified reasonable period from completion, so that the Company has the opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, rectify the issue.

8.3 Any complaint must include details of the concern and, where relevant, photographs or evidence of the area in question. The Client must allow the Company reasonable access to the Premises to investigate and, if agreed, to re-clean the affected areas.

8.4 The Companys liability in respect of any justified complaint will be limited to re-performing the Services or offering a partial refund, at the Companys discretion, subject always to the liability limitations set out in these Terms and Conditions.

9. Liability and Damage

9.1 The Company will exercise reasonable care when providing the Services. However, the Client acknowledges that certain stains, wear, fading, shrinkage or damage may be revealed or become more apparent after cleaning and that this is not the result of the cleaning process itself.

9.2 The Company shall not be liable for any pre-existing damage to carpets, rugs, upholstery, flooring, furnishings or other items at the Premises. The Client is encouraged to highlight any concerns prior to the commencement of work.

9.3 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of use, loss of opportunity or any similar damage arising from the provision or non-provision of the Services.

9.4 The Companys total liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount paid or payable by the Client for the specific Booking to which the claim relates, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

9.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit the Companys liability for death or personal injury caused by the Companys negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Client Property and Personal Items

10.1 The Client is responsible for securing or removing valuable, fragile or sentimental items from the areas where the Services will be carried out.

10.2 While the Company will take reasonable care, it does not accept responsibility for items left in or on furniture, under carpets, or in accessible areas that may be affected by the cleaning process, unless loss or damage is directly caused by proven negligence of the Company.

11. Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance

11.1 The Company will endeavour to use cleaning products and methods that are appropriate for the materials being treated and that comply with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.

11.2 The Client must inform the Company of any allergies, sensitivities or health conditions of occupants that may be affected by cleaning products so that appropriate alternatives can be considered where feasible.

11.3 Children and pets must be kept away from the working area and equipment during and immediately after cleaning. The Client is responsible for ensuring that carpets and upholstery are not used until they are safe and sufficiently dry.

12. Waste and Disposal Regulations

12.1 The Company will manage waste generated in the course of providing the Services in accordance with applicable waste and environmental regulations.

12.2 Any waste removed from the Premises, including extracted soils, used solutions and packaging, will be transported and disposed of responsibly by the Company or its authorised partners, in compliance with the relevant legal requirements.

12.3 The Client is responsible for any existing waste or hazardous materials at the Premises. The Company does not handle hazardous or regulated waste, including but not limited to asbestos, clinical waste, chemical residues or contaminated materials, unless expressly and separately agreed in writing.

12.4 Where the Services involve minor on-site waste handling, such as collection of debris or disposal of small quantities of residues, the Company will follow good practice to minimise environmental impact and to comply with local waste management rules.

13. Insurance

13.1 The Company maintains appropriate insurance cover for its operations as required by law and good industry practice.

13.2 Evidence of relevant insurance cover may be provided to the Client on reasonable request.

13.3 The existence of insurance does not extend or increase the Companys liability beyond the limits stated in these Terms and Conditions.

14. Force Majeure

14.1 The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, fire, flood, acts of God, strikes, transport disruptions, or restrictions imposed by authorities.

14.2 In such circumstances, the Company may suspend the Services and will notify the Client as soon as reasonably practicable. The Company will use reasonable endeavours to arrange a new appointment once the event has concluded.

15. Privacy and Data Protection

15.1 The Company will collect and process personal data of Clients solely for the purpose of managing Bookings, delivering Services, processing payments, and handling enquiries or complaints.

15.2 Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. The Company will take reasonable steps to protect such data from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

15.3 The Client has the right to request access to personal data held about them and to request correction of any inaccuracies.

16. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

16.1 The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will apply to all new Bookings made after the date of publication of the revised terms.

16.2 Any material changes will not affect Bookings already confirmed unless agreed with the Client, except where required by law.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

17.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

17.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services provided by the Company.

18. General Provisions

18.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed amended to achieve as nearly as possible the same economic effect as the original provision, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that right or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any such right or remedy prevent any further exercise of it.

18.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Client in relation to the Services, and supersede any prior agreements, understandings or arrangements, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter.

By proceeding with a Booking, the Client confirms that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
